Tyler Posey Shares Sun-Stained New Track “Runnin'”

Tyler Posey is set to share his new album UNRAVEL at the end of the month, and is making sure to whet the appetite as much as possible. There’s a new song for you to listen to right now, and it is a bit of a belter.

That song is “Runnin'” and it is everything that makes Tyler the undeniable musician that he is. It’s cheeky, funny, catchy and thoughtful, bridging the gap between hedonism and helping yourself. A laid-back beat, a few twinkly guitars and a vocal full of character and poise, it’s a summer-ready hit.

Tyler had this to say about it:

Runnin’’ is dope. We [Tyler, co-producer Matt Malpass] recorded it in Hawaii. The waves you hear in the intro are the actual waves we recorded from our Airbnb, whose backyard was the Pacific Ocean. It was the first song we wrote that was a real deviation from pop punk for this album. I’m proud to say we did that deviation justice. I hope you enjoy and feel the sand on your feet and the mist from the breaking waves on your face.”

Tyler Posey will be gifting you UNRAVEL on May 26, with a release show taking place on June 10 at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA.

Tyler had this to add about what the record represents for him:

Being an independent artist, there is a lot of freedom, and that’s exactly what this album is. Freedom. It’s got every genre from screamo hardcore punk to chill beach vibes. Listen to it from start to finish in order, to really experience the ride that is UNRAVEL, my first full length LP!
