After dropping her new single “donuts” on June 12, phem officially dropped the official music video for the sweet hyperpop-tinged track. In the video, the artist is both eating delicious breakfast baked goods and doing donuts in fast cars.

Talented stunt driver Dillon Bjorn Schmersal drove circles around a singing phem, making it look just like an action movie. Of course, she also got to be a passenger, too. She sings, “I was eating donuts in the kitchen/I was working overtime fuck an intermission/I was doin’ donuts in my Benz/Parking lot of 7-Eleven and then I said/I was doin’ better you listened/That’s what I expected from you way back then.”

In a recent Instagram post, the singer shared, “[I] may or may not have risked my life for this video.” Check out the literally thrilling “donuts” video below.

Additionally, upon its release, phem dove into the meaning of the upbeat, yet lyrically melancholy song. “[D]onuts are a metaphor for so many things…one being in that flow state, or a never-ending cycle [you] wish would end. [T]his song is multi-leveled. [T]he obvious one is the relationship with someone from my past, the less obvious is the relationship I have with myself.”
