On the heels of the release of “Burn” earlier this year, TX2 has unleashed the heavy-hitting “So Numb” and its accompanying music video. The track is a candid and haunting examination “about grief” and how hard it is to process emotions tied to grief.

“So Numb” emerges through a captivating blend of ethereal synths, intricate guitar melodies, and lush orchestral strings. TX2, aka Evan Thomas, sets the tone with the opening lyrics: “If I said I moved on/If I said I’m fine/That’d be a lie/Fuck/You’re stuck on mind.” Against a rich backdrop of exquisitely crafted instrumentation that further amplifies the emotion of the track, TX2 lays his soul bare with unfiltered vulnerability. Through the chorus, “You left a hole/Right inside my rib cage/Chemicals/Only way to escape/Numb/I’m so fucking numb,” “So Numb” reverberates with raw authenticity, enveloping the listener with the anguish that echoes across the track.

“‘So Numb’ is a song about dealing with grief,” TX2 shares. “I’m officially at the age where people I know have started dying off, and Cam had lost his mother, so we wanted to write a song in memoriam to those we’ve lost. I’m bad at dealing with grief, and this is a song about that.”

TX2 is scheduled to embark on the GROWING UP ON THE INTERNET tour to support labelmate NOAHFINNCE. Chase Petra and Teenage Joans will also join the Hopeless Records artists as support on the tour. You can check out the full routing schedule below and grab tickets to see TX2 live here.
