Have you ever wanted to hear your favorite bands collaborate with one another? This Wild Life is turning this dream into a reality with their latest album, Never Fade. Each song on the acoustic duo’s release includes a special guest vocalist, delivering surprise performances from beginning to end. From Magnolia Park’s Joshua Roberts to Yellowcard’s William Ryan Key, Never Fade bridges the gap between the scene’s legacy acts and today’s heavy hitters.
To celebrate the record, This Wild Life dropped a music video for “Proximity,” featuring Rory Rodriguez of Dayseeker. Performing in front of a backdrop reminiscent of the album’s cover art, the simple performance video demonstrates the tug-at-your-heartstrings emotion that the band always provides. Rory and Kevin’s vocals pair perfectly together, intertwining through harmonies that drape over each other like your favorite warm blanket.
Excited to share Rory’s track, the band took to Instagram to share with fans how they first met the Dayseeker singer.

“Proximity featuring @roryspencer of Dayseeker is out NOW,” the band writes. “I’ve known Rory for well over a decade as both of our old local bands came up playing Chain Reaction together in Southern California. Rory has one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard and it was a pleasure to finally collaborate together.”
Rory reciprocated the love and gratitude on his Instagram story today.
“Grew up playing music alongside these guys in the SoCal scene and I’ve been a genuine fan of this project for years. Was an honor to sing on this track.”
Marking their fifth full-length record, This Wild Life is proving the magic of collaboration with Never Fade. Think of it as a celebration of our genre, which itself is built on the foundation of connection and friendship.
