Signs Of The Swarm are pushing the limits of how depraved they can make their sound with the new track. It’s called “Amongst the Low & Empty”, and you will need a shower and a hard scrub after letting it infest your ears.
Delivering technically tight riffs and throat-shredding vocals aplenty, it is in the finer details that the filth is even more prominent. As unrelenting as it gets and discomforting as it is desolating, it is a career-high for the band. Seriously, it’s so heavy that all you’ll be able to do is laugh at what you’re digesting.
Here’s what the band had to say about it:
“We are extremely pleased to unleash ‘Amongst the Low & Empty.’ This song represents a theme that we have been building for a few years and were finally able to bring to life with the help of Josh Schroeder, with additional production from Joshua Travis. We wanted to create something that gets you moving from beginning to end, no bullshit, just heavy. We knew we accomplished that when our manager laughed out loud at a part in the breakdown when hearing it for the first time. We hope you headbang and/or laugh with us.”
So sit back, relax, and enjoy:
The track is also now in Heavy Rotation over on idobi Howl, which you can listen to live right HERE.
It’s the first music from the band in 2023, following on “Unbridled”, which dropped back in September last year:
Signs Of The Swarm released their last full-length record back in 2021 in the form of Absolvere. Here is the emotional “Death Whistle”:
