Following the recent departure of longtime guitarist/clean vocalist Richard Rogers on April 27, 2024, SECRETS has shared their first new music since their 2022 full-length album, The Collapse. The track, aptly titled “Despair,” tackles the gripping narrative of losing hope and drowning in anguish.

The new track wastes no time in making its presence known, kicking off with a digitized, glitchy effect. This haunting introduction sets the tone as the pummeling instrumentation and thunderous drum work crash in with unrelenting force. The brutal guitar riffs slice through the air like a knife, delivering a sonic assault that is as fierce as it is pulverizing. Meanwhile, the guttural screams from longtime harsh vocalist Wade Walters combined with newly-appointed guitarist/clean vocalist David Baqi pierce through the arrangement with intensity, adding a layer of unapologetic aggression.
