After unveiling thrilling collabs such as “V.A.N.” with Bad Omens and “Suffocate” with Knocked Loose, Poppy is back with a new solo single, “New Way Out.”
Produced by ex-Bring Me The Horizon‘s Jordan Fish and House Of Protection‘s (ex-FEVER 333) Stephen Harrison, the track blends Poppy‘s iconic raw metal sonics with futuristic rock elements and sultry, smooth vocals.
If you pick up on hints of pop in the new single, you are hearing it absolutely right. In an interview with NME, Poppy shared, “We weren’t listening to much new music when we made ‘New Way Out’ but I was listening to Madonna, so there’s that as well as a Britney Spears influence to the track. I am a fan of pop music, and I think you can still hear that.” Check out the bright metal track below.
Coming up this summer, Poppy is heading out on tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars, AFI, and KennyHoopla. The artist’s support dates kick off on July 26 in Auburn, WA at White River Amphitheatre and conclude on September 4 at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. Secure your tickets here.
