Paramore’s Cover Of “My Hero” By Foo Fighters Hits Streaming

Way back in 2006, Paramore recorded an acoustic rendition of “My Hero” originally by the incredible Foo Fighters. Now, the cover has finally hit streaming services all these years later. Not sure what took them so long to make this decision, but we sure are happy about it. Along with the acoustic version, Paramore also released an electronic mix as well. Last month Hayley Williams joined Foo Fighters on stage in Tennessee at Bonnaroo Music And Arts Festival for a guest performance of “My Hero”. Perhaps this beautiful moment inspired the release of the cover. Check out the amazing video of the performance below!

Hayley Williams took to instagram to share the note: “Not long after Bonnaroo, Paramore fans used their powers to convince us to get this lil 2006 moment up and streaming. We always did gush over the Foo Fighters but judging the electronic version/track 2, teenage Paramore were clearly on a The Postal Service kick too.” Along with the release of the Foo Fighters cover, the band also added “Teenagers” to streaming services as well. The song comes from the soundtrack to the 2009 horror/comedy film, Jennifer’s Body. Listen to the cover of “My Hero” and “Teenagers” here.

Paramore have been on absolute fire this year. They released their highly-anticipated sixth studio album This Is Why in February, featuring hit singles “This Is Why“, “The News“, and “C’est Comme Ça“. Williams also featured on Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on the track “Castles Crumbling” and Paramore is slated to open for Swift on her upcoming European tour next year. Wild, right?
