Nothing But Thieves Share Ethereal New Track “Overcome”

Nothing But Thieves just keep on going from strength to strength. Already set to be playing arenas across the UK later this year, the band are gearing up to release a new record that takes their sound into wonderful new places. That record is Dead Club City and will be arriving this Summer, and based on the songs they have shared so far, it’s going to be a world-beater.

One of those songs is “Overcome”, and is a proper spine-tingler. From the ethereal keys to the tranquil guitars, all held together by Conor Mason’s crystal clear vocals, it’s readymade for those long Summer nights doing nothing at all. With plenty of nods to 80s synth-pop, whilst still feeling thoroughly modern, it’s one for the dancefloor.

The band had this to say about it:

“Overcome has always felt like a ‘throw your stuff in a bag and get away’ song. Dead Club City (the city) would definitely feel enticing for someone like that.”

“We’re all battling something, so having a song on the album that would describe why someone would want change felt right.”

Nothing But Thieves will be releasing Dead Club City on July 7th via Sony Music.
