Just because we’re entering the winter holiday season doesn’t mean you can’t keep the spirit of Halloween alive. Magnolia Park is continuing on with their spooky vibes with the release of their “Fell In Love On Halloween” music video via Epitaph Records.
The bittersweet music video perfectly complements the acoustic emo track, which draws parallels between The Nightmare Before Christmas‘ Jack and Sally with the song’s protagonists. “I was dressed up like Jack/Should’ve known this won’t last/Every good thing comes and goes, at least I took my chance,” frontman Joshua Roberts sings. Check out the full “Fell In Love On Halloween” music video below.
The track comes from Magnolia Park‘s recently released LP Halloween Mixtape II, and serves as the album’s closing song. In a recent Instagram post, the band also shared that Roberts directed the entire music video himself.
Additionally, Roberts recently revealed that he’s on the verge of sharing a solo EP titled Good For You, and released his first single, “Darkness,” on November 15. He says, “‘Darkness’ came about when Vince [Ernst] and I learned that a favorite movie we share is American Psycho. We were like, okay, let’s make a song inspired by our love for this movie and add a little personal twist to it at the same time.” The full EP is due out on December 15 via Epitaph Records.
As we wait to hear more of Roberts‘ vocal stylings, we will have Halloween Mixtape II on repeat with features including nothing, nowhere., TX2, and more.
