Lil Uzi Vert Shares New Track Feat. Bring Me The Horizon

Lil Uzi Vert has just released his new album Pink Tape. 26 songs in length, it is an incredible undertaking from an artist who refuses to fit into any sort of box. Allowing their inspirations to run wild and free, it is a dense, destructive and decadent project that you will uncover something new about time and time again.

One of the tracks that show off how far they have travelled as an artist is “Werewolf”, which also features Bring Me The Horizon. The combination swiftly follows the release of BMTH’s track “AmEN!“, which featured Uzi as well as Glassjaw’s Daryl Palumbo. They both share the same level of intensity, with thrashing guitars and guttural intentions. Though “Werewolf” also sits incorporates more woozy atmospheres and furious spontaneity. Uzi lets their vocal cords go into overdrive with throat-ripping screams, whilst Oli Sykes throws in some silky smooth melodies for good measure.

It’s nu-metal, rap metal, metalcore and post-hardcore all rolled into one, and it is simply undeniable. It’s a perfect example of what happens when you break the walls down and do exactly what you want. There are no rules anymore. Anything is possible and everything is possible. It’s an exciting time for heavy music, and it’s because of things like this.

It’s not the only collaboration on Pink Tape where Lil Uzi Vert has teamed up with a metal superstar. The record rounds off with “The End” which features the chaotic brilliance of BABYMETAL. Throwing in more multi-colored riffs than you count as well as the band’s distinct cutesy vocal style, there is a lot going on.
