Laura Jane Grace has officially dropped the gorgeously filmed “I’m Not A Cop” music video. The visual features herself and her wife, Paris Campbell Grace, portraying Reno 911 police officers “patrolling” the streets of Chicago, IL, where they live. “I’m Not A Cop” is pulled from LJG’s recently released Hole In My Head full-length record.
Of the new release, she shares in an Instagram caption, “Are you a cop? Are you surrrrre you’re not a cop man? You know by law you have to answer that question otherwise it’s … actually I’m not a lawyer so don’t quote me on what the laws are around entrapment are. I do know fun though and @pariscampbellgrace and I had a lot of fun making this video for “I’m Not A Cop” here in Chicago before we left on tour last month and @dialbacksound joined us too — making it from the airport to the video shoot about halfway through. It was fun yeah but also maybe a little ick playing Reno 911 for the day, a little too close to authoritarian for my liking. Don’t be a fucking cop but please do enjoy the video!”
