Fans of pop-punk masterminds Knuckle Puck might just be experiencing one of their favorite autumns to date. Not only is the band about to embark on a thrilling tour in November following their sets at When We Were Young Fest, but today, Knuckle Puck released their fourth full album Losing What We Love out via Pure Noise Records, as well as the official music video for the track “You & I.”

The quintet says, “‘You & I’ is a song about being acutely aware of how much somebody sucks as a person and looking forward to cutting ties with them.” Check out the diner-themed music video and high-energy song below.

“For a long time, we felt a responsibility to have this overwhelming hopefulness to our lyrics. This time around, we started writing more honestly with less intent to sound cool or hopeful,” says guitarist Nick Casasanto about the new album. “It feels like we’re in a bit of a losing battle with the state of the world, but in the past we’d say, ‘Oh, but it’s all OK!’ Now we’re saying, ‘No, we should be panicking.’ This record feels like more of an expression than a motivational speech.”

Overall, Losing What We Love allowed the band to realize they’re here to stand the test of time. In an interview with idobi Radio, vocalist Joe Taylor shared, “Doing this record just made me so grateful to be the great friends that we are. Because of that, we’re going to be putting Knuckle Puck records out into our fifties. I’m sure of that. Let’s do more and see how far we can go.”
