Ahead of the release of his forthcoming sophomore album, When The Music Stops, jxdn has unveiled his Spotify Singles cover of Coldplay’s iconic 2000 single, “Yellow.” Before jxdn’s cover release, “Yellow” became the sixth Coldplay video to enter YouTube’s Billion Views Club and currently boasts 1,052,037,012 views as of publication. “Yellow” is also currently one of several Coldplay songs in Spotify’s Billions Club.

Taking on the Coldplay classic, which harbors a melancholy essence, jxdn revitalizes it with a burst of pop-punk vibrancy, offering a refreshing interpretation. His vocals infuse the opening verse with a natural croon, breathing new life into the familiar lyrics: “I came along/I wrote a song for you/And all the things you do/And it was called ‘Yellow.’” Despite its iconic status cherished across generations, jxdn injects the track with a youthful exuberance, transforming it into a vibrant pop-punk anthem that resonates with a new era of listeners.

jxdn recently stopped by the idobi Radio Studios to chat with Fish about his new album, the creative process, the importance of lifelong friendships, and more. You can watch the full interview below.
