Summer school is officially in session with the debut idobi Radio Summer School Tour! Featuring an electrifying lineup including Stand Atlantic, Magnolia Park, The Home Team, Scene Queen, Honey Revenge, and Letdown., this tour is poised to school us all summer across the inaugural 28-show run. Don’t miss the biggest summer event in the scene, or you might land yourself in detention!
Kicking off on July 10 in Cleveland, OH, the Summer School Tour was founded by industry heavyweights Eric Tobin (Hopeless Records), Michael Kaminsky (KMGMT), and Kevin Lyman (Warped Tour) as a direct response to the dearly missed cross-country Warped Tour festival, which thrived on breaking new artists into the alternative community. The Summer School Tour aims to foster the next generation of emerging alt-acts in the scene. With a focus on providing a platform for these rising stars to shine and connect with a larger audience at a fraction of the cost of traditional tour packages and similarly designed festivals, the Summer School Tour promises to be a game-changer in the industry.

Of the tour launch, the three founders shared, “The festival is specifically championing independent artists, labels, and promoters, with 100% of the sponsorship money going to subsidize lower ticket prices. All sponsors were chosen based on their ability to support the artists or fans on the tour.”
They continue, “idobi Radio is using their vast media reach to boost the profiles of every artist. ONErpm is subsidizing ticket prices, lowering costs for the fans. Hot Topic will be supporting not only with their massive marketing reach, but also by supporting artists in their entire network of retail stores. It’s important that our sponsors uphold the values of our scene, and we are excited to have them contributing to the community in a meaningful way with us.”
idobi Radio CEO Eddie Barella shares in the enthusiasm, adding, “We are beyond thrilled to announce the launch of the idobi Radio Summer School Tour, with a lineup that promises to electrify audiences and a mission to support and elevate emerging talent! This tour is set to be the summer’s defining musical event. Get ready to be schooled this summer because missing out on this would be the real detention!”
