iDKHOW is back and in a new era. Two weeks following the announcement of drummer Ryan Seaman’s departure and new music incoming, vocalist Dallon Weekes has posted four cryptic videos on Instagram. From a blue telephone to Weekes’ silhouette, the indie-pop project gives fans a taste of what to expect from their upcoming single, “WHAT LOVE?”
The first three videos all focus on bright objects that you could find in someone’s home: a blue wired telephone, a bright pink book, and a yellow china set. However, what’s more interesting are the audio snippets behind the videos and some of the objects that are not in the forefront. Fans noticed a stack of books from English romance writers such as Carole Mortimer and Penny Jordan in the background of the third video. There is also a mysterious voice that picks up the phone call in the first video and says, “Hi. What? I don’t know.” Orchestral strings fill the silence and add a theatrical element to each clip, paying homage to iDKHOW’s diverse soundscape.
Just take a look (and a listen) for yourselves!

“WHAT LOVE?” marks iDKHOW’s first release since 2021. Their debut studio album, Razzmatazz, invited listeners to a world where synth-pop, musical theatre, new wave, and pop-rock combine in perfect harmony but also total madness. From ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!,’ to ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show,’ the duo brought the collection of songs to the mainstream media and started becoming a well-known name in indie-pop and alternative spaces. While iDKHOW is now defined as Weekes’ solo project, he is thankful for fans sticking around and waiting for the next era of music.
“Thank you all for being so incredibly patient,” Weekes writes. “The moxie and support that fans have shown during this long process has been invaluable and sincerely appreciated.”
iDKHOW’s “WHAT LOVE?” drops on all streaming platforms on October 5 at 8 AM PT, and you can presave it here. Until then, idobi Radio will keep you up-to-date with the latest news.
