After parting ways with lead vocalist Trenton Woodley in July 2023, Hands Like Houses has confirmed that the search for a new lead singer is over. The Australian rockers recently announced that Josh Raven, lead vocalist of The Faim, is taking over the role of frontman and shared new single “Heaven.”

“We are thrilled to share with you the next chapter of HLH and welcome our new vocalist Josh Raven. We crossed paths with Josh at a pivotal point of our soul searching and he has inserted such a positive shift within us,” the band shared on the “Heaven” YouTube description.

The continued sharing, “We took a deep dive down the road that got us here, and imagined what that would look and sound like with this fresh energy and enthusiasm. We have rediscovered a deep love for creating and a positive environment to share ideas. We took a step back and returned to the fundamentals of why we started this in the first place, the music. This next chapter will explore sounds and ideas that are inspiring and motivating to us as a collective. [W]e look forward to sharing this process with you all.”

In a recent Instagram post, Raven shared his excitement as a new member of the band. He shared, “very proud and excited to announce I’ve become a part of @handslikehouses. Our 1st single ‘HEAVEN’ is out everywhere. [T]he journey leading to this song has been one of the most organic experiences and is one I can best describe as a series of beautiful surprises. This is a whole new world and I’m discovering more about myself as a writer, singer and overall human being. So much to say and so much to do. I’ve missed this and missed you. Stay tuned, there’s more coming. Lots of love xx.”

As of now, Raven is still confirmed to be in The Faim. The singer was in a photo on the band’s Instagram six days ago alongside bassist Stephen Beerkens.

In tandem with the new vocalist hard launch, the quintet also dropped the first single of their new era entitled “Heaven.” The band still retains their urgent basslines and modern rock rhythms that fans love, which works well with Raven‘s range and tone. Check out the new track below.
