Emo-rock band First And Forever has dropped their third EP, If We Go Down, today. The 5-track release strikes the perfect balance of modernity and nostalgia with its sweeping guitar leads and intimate lyrics. As the band’s first independent release since 2019, it is a special one to the First And Forever boys. This emotion shines through the EP from beginning to end.
They began their release campaign by dropping “Eulogy,” the third track on the EP. Accompanied by a high-energy music video, the track introduces fans to a new and mature sound that the band has sunk its teeth into. “I’ve Got A Bad Feeling About This…,” keeps the momentum going with catchy vocal melodies and hard-hitting drums reminiscent of bands like Silverstein, State Champs, and In Her Own Words.
“[The EP] represents the next stage for First And Forever,” guitarist Marcus Leopard says. “As with previous releases, we have broadened our horizons, becoming simultaneously heavier and poppier. The song list has a wide range in terms of tone, melody, and subject matter. Overall, this EP is the perfect punctuation to what we have accomplished as artists so far and is an even better gateway to the artists we are going to become.”
