Grab your Dramamine and buckle up. Calling All Captains has shared the music video for their new single, “Wallflower,” which marks the first track released from their upcoming EP, (e)motion sickness. The 6-track collection will be available on July 19 via New Damage Records.
“‘Wallflower’ is a song about how hard it can be to be in a relationship or maintain friendships while dealing with depression,” vocalist Luc Gauthier shares.”The sentiment that ‘nothing could ever fix me’ while simultaneously looking for a reason to be happy is the exact juxtaposition of being comfortable in your sadness but knowing it can’t continue like this forever.”

The video is as much a juxtaposition as the song. Centering the band in a bright, colorful room overflowing with flowers as Gauthier belts out the trials and tribulations of depression.
The catchy, effervescent lyrics and punk-pop styling of the song make it the perfect track to mosh to, sing at the top of your lungs, or both. To maximize the effect, sing it at the top of your lungs in the moshpit while Calling All Captains performs live on the Petal To The Metal Tour, starting tomorrow, June 14. Calling All Captains will also be headlining the (e)motion sickness tour beginning in August. Grab tickets to the Petal To The Metal and (e)motion sickness Tours here.
