Beartooth have released a new single called “Doubt Me”. And it feels like a culmination of their hard work up until now. The band have carved out their own place within the scene over the last 10 years. They’ve allowed vocalist Caleb Shomo to not only exorcise every demon that has ever crossed him but also create music that resonates with him the most. It has been an incredible journey, to say the least. From clubs to arenas, chaos follows them everywhere they go and with good reason.
With their upcoming new album, the chaos is the result of clarity rather than catharsis. The Surface, set for release on October 13 via Red Bull Records, is about what happens when you learn to love yourself. Previous singles, “Sunshine!” and “Might Love Myself” express that vivid passion for one’s well-being wonderfully, but the band’s latest offering speaks about what happens if you try and cross that passion.
So with”Doubt Me” it does exactly what it says on the tin. It is a result of those who feel the need to put you down when you are doing well. The ones who think you can’t reach your target or go the extra mile. It is a hard-hitting anthem that throws those doubts right back in their face. It is a song for anybody who needs that extra boost today. Positivity presented through punishing riffs, that’s the name of the game.

Caleb expanded on the idea of what it takes to overcome the odds. He stated, “We all have our own struggles that we deal with quietly. Sometimes, it can be hard to explain to the people around you what you’re dealing with. What may be perceived by others as weakness is actually a battle with yourself that you know will be conquered.
“Being in the thick of serious change is never easy, and being brought down by those who don’t understand can add to the weight. Know that when you’re in those moments, sometimes you need to just put your head down and fight with all you have, regardless of whatever people say you’re capable of at the moment.”
