If God made you an animal, your time is now. Better Lovers announced their forthcoming debut LP, Highly Irresponsible. The record is due out on October 25 via SharpTone Records. Preceded by 2023’s God Made Me An Animal EP and 2024 singles “Two Alive Amongst The Dead” and “The Flowering,” the group unleashed their gripping intro into their new album cycle with “A White Horse Covered in Blood.” The heavy-hitting Greg Puciato (ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan) vocals in tandem with Jordan Buckley‘s (ex-Every Time I Die) riffs offer a stunning first taste of what’s to come. The music video does… Read more »

Sometimes your big break comes easier than you imagined it would. Just ask the members of Finger Eleven. After six years, the Canadian quintet is finally getting its just desserts with “One Thing,” the second single from the band’s self-titled third album. While predecessor “Good Times,” a quick-tempo confrontational rocker, didn’t make much of an impact, “One Thing” is a gentle acoustic ballad that arrived with surprisingly little effort. “It came out pretty easily,” singer Scott Anderson said. “It’s the result of [guitarist] James [Black] and I going to a cottage with an acoustic guitar to try to finish up… Read more »
Despite an apparent cease-fire to the mudslinging between Fred Durst and Britney Spears, the Limp Bizkit frontman just can’t seem to say enough about the sexy singer. Onstage Saturday at a free concert in London’s Finsbury Park, Durst introduced the tune “Break Stuff” by taking a swipe at the pop star. At the opening of the Significant Other single with the prophetic line, “It’s all about the he said, she said bullsh-,” Durst made his proclamation. “How many people out there have had one of those f–ed-up days?” he asked the crowd. “I can remember quite a few f–ed-up days… Read more »
“This one kid came up to me and was like, ‘just admit it, man. You guys totally wussed-out with this album so that you could get onto the radio. Admit it!’” While he’s joking about it now, you can see the anger in Boysetsfire singer Nathan‘s eyes. He and his hardcore punk brethren have been dealing with this “sellout” bullshit for oh, XX years now. “I was screwed,” he continues. “No matter what I said, I was screwed. If I told him the truth and said that this album was just a collection of songs that we wrote without any… Read more »
While pre-release bootlegging has long been a detriment (or promotional tool, if you ask some cynics) to hip-hop, it’s not the only genre having a hard time keeping its music under wraps. Demos credited to the unnamed group featuring Chris Cornell and members of Rage Against the Machine have been leaked online. Thirteen tracks purported to be results of the collaboration surfaced on a Web site with an Italian domain on Thursday. Within minutes, the files were linked by several other sites and the songs were being swapped between file-sharers on services such as AudioGalaxy. As of Friday morning, attempts… Read more »
