Avril Lavigne Surprises Fans With “Sk8er Boi” Performance

Avril Lavigne may not have been listed as being on the When We Were Young lineup, but the Goodbye Lullaby singer surprised fans on the October 21 date of the festival. During All Time Low’s set on the Pink stage, Lavigne popped out to sing her mega-hit “Sk8er Boi” from 2002’s Let Go.

Additionally, she offered her vocals for her new collab with the band entitled “Fake As Hell.” Check out “Sk8er Boi” from the When We Were Young Pink stage below.

Some October 22 When We Were Young fest ticketholders are hopeful for another “surprise” performance from the singer.

More on When We Were Young Fest collabs:

During The Academy Is…‘s late afternoon set, they treated the crowd to a captivating lineup featuring gems from their debut album Almost Here, including the title track and “Slow Down.” They also unleashed the sheer brilliance of their 2008 hit “About A Girl” from Fast Times At Barrington High.

But the true showstopper that had everyone on their feet was when Saporta joined Beckett and Co. for their electrifying 2006 collaboration. The festival’s atmosphere crackled with energy, almost as if their performance had taken center stage and held the entire audience spellbound.

For fans who weren’t at the festival to experience this monumental tour de force, idobi Radio has got you covered. You can check out Saporta and The Academy Is… at the finest below.
