Following the release of their titular track and the masterful “Paying Bills At The End Of The World,” Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties have issued a stripped-down rendition of their latest offering. Both tracks will appear on the 16-person ensemble’s forthcoming full-length In Lieu Of Flowers. The 11-track album is scheduled to arrive on April 12 and can be pre-ordered here.

In the latest stripped-back rendition, vocalist Dan Campbell (The Wonder Years) captures the unfiltered essence and raw intensity of the track against the poignant backdrop of a church. Campbell passionately croons, “I’ve been having that dream where I’m dying again/The one where I get sick, and we can’t afford it/I’ve been walking around here with no health insurance/And we can barely keep the lights on as it is,” encapsulating the vulnerable desperation of living paycheck to paycheck.

This live session sees the group capture the melancholy of the track so beautifully, gripping the listener with each word and guitar strum. Check out Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties’ stripped-back rendition of “Paying Bills At The End Of The World” below.
