Listen up, people. The time for Warped Tour Washington DC is coming up on June 14-15 and the lineup is stacked. From iconic alternative veterans such as Avril Lavigne, Bowling For Soup, The Maine, and Boys Like Girls to rising stars such as Rain City Drive and Oxymorrons, there are endless acts to add to your perfect fest.
And you may be overwhelmed by the amount of sick artists, and no shame, because same. So, we’ve let the stars pick who you absolutely need to see at Warped Tour based on your Zodiac sign. Get ready to head to the barricade this fest season and bring some tissues if you’re a Pisces or a Cancer.
Aries (March 21 – April 19): Honey Revenge
Aries, it’s time to get airheaded with Honey Revenge this season. The iconic Hopeless Records duo, aka The Bee Band, is the pop-rock duo of your dreams. With Retrovision hits such as “Rerun,” “Distracted,” and, of course, “Airhead,” you will be jumping the whole set. It’s safe to say that Devin Papadol and Donny Lloyd offer the adventurous, independent, and passionate nature of Aries placements.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Simple Plan
Tauruses are known for their loyalty, meaning they definitely need to be at the front of the fest to see pop-punk mainstays Simple Plan. Of course, you’ll get to hear the OG hits such as “I’m Just A Kid” and “Addicted,” and you’ll be treated to new bangers such as “Where I Belong.” (P.S. State Champs and We The Kings are also on the bill, so you may be able to witness an iconic live collab.)
Gemini (May 21 – June 21): 3OH!3
The symbol for Gemini is “the twins,” so it only makes sense to add one of alternative’s most beloved duos to your list. 3OH!3‘s Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte aren’t just best friend goals, they are the ultimate pair to get you hyped TF up. Of course, you’ll be able to see “DONTTRUSTME” and “My First Kiss,” and you’ll be able to catch their more recent hits such as the ironically upbeat “I’M SO SAD.”
Cancer (June 22 – July 22): I Am The Avalanche
Creative and intuitive Cancer placements will adore seeing punk-rockers I Am The Avalanche return to the Warped stage. Deeply influenced by the likes of Descendents and Jawbreaker, this nostalgia-inducing rock band will give you all the vibes of an intimate basement that’ll take you back to your teens.
Leo (July 23 – August 22): Magnolia Park
Leos are sexy, confident, and charming, just like every Magnolia Park song. The band’s most recent tracks such as “Shallow,” “Cult,” and “Worship,” will light a fire in your chest and could fuel the mosh pit for days on end.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22): Beauty School Dropout
If you didn’t catch Beauty School Dropout on tour with blink-182 and Turnstile, you *need* to make sure you catch their set at Warped Tour DC. BSD’s alt-rock/indie-pop vibes will tap into any Virgo onlookers’ sense of imagination and help them drop their need for perfectionism. (IYKYK.)
Libra (September 23 – October 23): Sophie Powers
Libras are best known for their extroversion and social butterfly nature, and Sophie Powers‘ Warped set will be the party to attend. And no, you don’t need an invite— just bring your it-girl attitude.
Scorpio (October 24 – November 21): Sweet Pill
If you have a Scorpio friend or are one yourself, you know how important honesty and transparency is for these signs. Sweet Pill is the emo act on the rise that doesn’t sugarcoat any of their lyrics. Their raw performance will speak directly to your soul.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21): Millionaires
Where are my Sagittarius peeps at? We know you’re free spirits and you can let loose at the Millionaires set. Duo Melissa Marie Green and Meredith Hurley will transport you back to your Myspace scene days, and TBH, that’s exactly what we’re going to Warped Tour for. Don’t forget to wear your big bows.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19): Angel Du$t
Don’t forget to stretch before entering the Angel Du$t set, Capricorn friends. These punks *will* make you want to spin kick. As one of the most ambitious Zodiac signs, we highly recommend adding this Baltimore-based group to your workout playlists ASAP.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18): Origami Angel
Clever, innovative Aquarius placements will feel effortlessly drawn to Origami Angel. Their DIY ethos and completely unique blend of hardcore breakdowns and soaring pop-rock vocals will appeal to the creativity of this Zodiac placement. Be prepared to join the Gami Gang, because one performance will have you hooked.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20): Scene Queen
Pisces bbs, make sure you’re thinking pink at DC Warped Tour, because Scene Queen is coming to reign the stage. Don’t be fooled by this sign’s dreamy, compassionate nature, because they love a good rage song. Scene Queen is the ideal act to unleash each fear, upset, and annoyance to, such as “18+” and “Pink Rover.”
