What We Think: Pierce The Veil’s Misadventures Medley

PTV_Misadventures_Cover_hismall

Pierce The Veil’s highly anticipated album Misadventures comes out on May 13. As if the singles didn’t get us hyped enough, there is now an album medley on Spotify! The 4 minute 29 second preview showcases Vic’s incredible vocal range, the not-so in the background bass played by Jaime, Tony’s guitar work going from glittery to gritty, the iconic drumming by Mike,  and so much more.

You can read what the idobi Staff thinks about the teaser below!

*[I’m] actually screaming* I’m so pumped for this album. Pierce the Veil’s music quality literally never ceases to be perfect for me. They were one of the first bands I started to like in their genre. They always stay true to the sound I fell in love with, but keep enough variation in their music that it doesn’t get boring after a while. This medley just made me even more excited for Misadventures. Plus, new album means new merch and their designs are always beautiful. (Eli McDonald)

I literally died when listening to this. I’m way too excited to see how this one pans out, especially since the album seems to be focused more on the integration of vocals with instrumentals. I’m expecting Misadventures to be a little more dramatic as well with the emotion Vic puts into the songwriting.  (Jake Lahah)

I always liked PTV but never would go out of my way to listen to them or see them play until this summer when they released “The Divine Zero”. After seeing them play a few sets on Warped this summer, I saw how incredible their live show is and that truly made me a fan of the band. We waited what felt like forever for this album and I think it’s going to be well worth the wait judging by “Texas Is Forever”, “Circles” and now this medley. (Mike Fishkin)

Any frustration I had waiting for new PTV music completely went away listening to this preview. Quality over quantity; I’d rather a band take their time with their music than rush something just so fans stay pleased. The singles so far have really showed growth since the last record, but this medley also shows variation with songs that are more alt pop rock and others that are 100% post-hardcore. I think this might be their best one yet. (Hannah Hines)
