Earlier this summer, we had the marvelous Zoe Ko stop by the idobi Radio Studios in Los Angeles, CA, to hang out and play a game we call Truth Or Darts. During her visit to the studio, she joked about what film her music could soundtrack, what her wholesome favorite movie is and the follow-up film that made her cry (TWICE—but same!!), and her greatest fear. After revealing that she originally wanted to be a doctor when she was a kid, she also shares that she feels like she would have accidentally killed someone. “To be honest, my very very… Read more »
We have another new Zoe Ko single, “Kiss My (Ah),” to blast all weekend, and it is most definitely her year! “‘Kiss My (Ah)’ is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written,” Zoe Ko explains. “It’s catchy, sassy, and gets the point across in one sentence. It represents my clap back to my mean girl feud in high school but also the attitude I now live by because of that experience and because of growing up in NYC.” She continues, “On my debut EP last year, I started telling the story of my mean girl growing up but never… Read more »
If you loved Zoe Ko‘s “DIRT” when it dropped in March, you are going to love that it’s getting a filthy treatment. The artist teamed up with Sophie Powers and Emi Grace to make the “DIRT(ier)” remix via Big Loud Rock. “I had to take the dirt up to another level,” Ko says. “I knew I wanted sick women artists on this remix, and immediately thought of Sophie Powers and Emi Grace. Sophie is so unapologetically herself and Emi is one of the baddiest guitarists of our generation. ‘Dirt(ier)’ is ‘DIRT’ but literally dirtier.” Check out the remix below. Though… Read more »
Zoe Ko is back with a sexy and thrilling new single, “Touch Therapy,” via Big Loud Rock. Preceded by “EAT” and “DIRT,” this new song boasts booming basslines, glam-rock sonics, and energizing pop beats perfect for your “hot girl summer” playlists. The New York City-born artist shares, “This song was born out of the most teenage dream night you could imagine. I was seeing a boy in L.A. and one day he drove me around to different outlook points and we eventually ended up at a drive-in movie. Needless to say, I barely remember that movie because I couldn’t see… Read more »
Zoe Ko, the New York City native and recent Big Loud Rock signee, is back with “EAT,” a follow-up A-Side to her March-released track “DIRT.” Having written the recent releases with Jonny Shorr after moving from New York City to Los Angeles, the artist says, “It was a culture shock to say the least. I missed my best friends and our crazy nights out, and the shameless confidence the city infused into me.” She continues, “My friends and I would always use some variation of the word ‘eat’ as slang. Like after a wild girls’ night out we might say,… Read more »

The Bush administration on Thursday accused South Korea of failing to halt the piracy of American movies and music that it said was costing U.S. companies millions of dollars in lost revenue. The administration announced that South Korea was being added to a priority list of countries that are subject to special monitoring and consultations aimed at making sure the foreign government acts to address the copyright piracy issues that have been uncovered. If South Korea fails to comply the United States would have the ability to bring a case before the World Trade Organization. If the WTO ruled in… Read more »
