Florida church hosts ‘U2charist’ to reach younger audience


Superfans often compare listening to their favorite band to a religious experience. A church in Florida is taking that sentiment to the next level by introducing its congregation to a Sunday service that features the music and lyrics of Bono and Co., reports Twenty Four Bit. U2 Plot Five “No Line on the Horizon” Editions


U2 have revealed the five ways their new album No Line on the Horizon will be available on March 3rd. Besides compact disc and double vinyl, Horizon will also be offered as a $36 digipak featuring a 36-page booklet, a poster and a downloadable film directed by Anton Corbijn “featuring the music of U2.” $50 will get you the same package, except this time its housed in a “soft cover magazine-style book” with a 60-page booklet. Some of the biggest names in music are contributing exclusive songs to RED(WIRE), a digital music magazine that launches on World AIDS Day ( December 1). Irish rockers U2 have hit the studio in Dublin to continue work on their next studio album with longtime collaborators Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois. “We’re going to try and break new sonic ground and deliver a masterpiece,” Lanois told Billboard.com. “The sleeves are rolled up. U2's Bono presses for French aid


Rock star Bono pressed French leader Nicolas Sarkozy to increase aid to developing nations, the aid advocacy group DATA said. The organization, co-founded by Bono, front man of the U2 rock group, has urged France to raise development assistance to 0.7 percent of gross national income by 2012 as agreed earlier. In 2006, French aid stood at 0.31 percent of gross national income, DATA said. “The president admitted it would be very, very hard, but France would keep her word,” the statement quoted Bono as saying Tuesday following the meeting. Surprise performance by U2 delights fans


U2 stars Bono and The Edge showed up unannounced and played as a warmup act at a charity concert in London.
