Hayley Williams, Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell, and Brittany Howard Share the Stage for a Good Cause

If you haven’t heard, Tennessee just passed Senate Bill 3 and House Bill 9. Collectively, they ban drag shows from happening in public or anywhere a minor could be present. This obviously feels like a giant step backwards from the progress the LGTBQ+ community has made in this country. As a response, Jason Isbell and Alison Russell have put together a benefit concert that will take place in Nashville on March 20th called Love Rising. Hayley Williams, Sheryl Crow, and Brittany Howard are all set to headline the show. Money from the concert will go on to support Tennessee Equality… Read more »

Sheryl Crow Gets More Friends

The track listing for Sheryl Crow’s follow-up to 1998’s The Globe Sessions has been firmed up, and the album is now slated for March. Crow spent time in New York City last year working on the record, popping up for star-studded surprise gigs that included appearances by the likes of Keith Richards, Stevie Nicks, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kid Rock. And while Rock and Paltrow were initially rumored to be singing on the upcoming album, Nicks is the only one from those performances confirmed for the album. Nicks lends backing vocals to “You’re Not the One.” But Crow has enlisted a… Read more »

Kid Rock Talks Sheryl Crow Collaboration

For his new album, Cocky, Kid Rock collaborated with Sheryl Crow on a tune called “I Put Your Picture Away.” The “devil without a cause” revealed, “That’s just a classic. I like to say it makes ‘Islands In The Stream’ look like ‘Happy Birthday.’ It’s a good ballad, great vocal performances.” “I was even shocked at my vocal performance,” Rock admitted. “How much better of a singer I’ve become throughout the years. The songwriting on that song, if you listen to it, the words, it’s just incredible. It’s a classic tale. It’s a good old-fashioned cheating tale, really told in… Read more »

Sheryl Crow Talks About Kid Rock

Kid Rock is not dumb. That’s according to Sheryl Crow, who recently dated him. “He has an overview of what entertainment is that just blows my mind, a great scope of what people want and what’s considered kind of challenging to the audience,” Crow said in the September issue of Esquire magazine. “The other thing is, he’s wildly talented. As he gets out and plays with other people, people are shocked at how talented he is.” Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, is known for his sometimes racy lyrics. But the 30-year-old rocker also performed a duet with… Read more »

The promoters said the show would be rescheduled sometime for 2008. Among the topliners slated to appear at the show, which was supposed to take place Oct. 27 in Irvine, California, were Sheryl Crow, Avril Lavigne, Fiona Apple, Miranda Lambert, MySpace stalwart… Read more »
