The Academy Is… just kicked off the second leg of their Almost Here anniversary tour, and they brought out a special guest while in Atlanta at Buckhead Theatre. Say Anything vocalist Max Bemis popped onstage to sing “About A Girl” alongside William Beckett. This isn’t the only exciting recent The Academy Is… crossover event. Jonas Brothers tour dates just keep getting more and more alternative. The band, currently on their JONAS 20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour, is bringing out surprise guests at each tour stop. This November, Say Anything and Motion City Soundtrack are going on a massive fall tour, and it’s a can’t-miss event. Say Anything took to Instagram to share, “For the first time in almost exactly 15 years, we’re hitting the road with our friends in Motion City Soundtrack.” Motion City Soundtrack, who just released their new single “She Is Afraid,” noted, “Ok, We can barely contain the excitement anymore so we’ll get right to it. Perhaps you could attempt to use metrics like ticket sales or song charting, but certainly not in any tangible sense of emotion, delivery, or downright weirdness. Beloved emo rock icons Say Anything emerged from hiatus last Friday for their first show in nearly five years.
