Judas Priest And Anthrax Reschedule U.S. Tour


Judas Priest and Anthrax have rescheduled their tour for January and February of next year. The tour will kick off January 18 in Los Angeles and end February 17 in Washington, D.C. The trek was originally set to kick off in Los Angeles on September 14, but the dates were rescheduled after the September 11 terrorist attacks on Washington, D.C. and New York City. Judas Priest Singer Says No Connection To 'Rock Star'


In the new movie Rock Star, a young man fronting a cover band is tapped to join his heroes and replace their lead singer. The story should sound familiar, since it’s patterned after what happened to Tim “Ripper” Owens, the cover-band singer who replaced Rob Halford in Judas Priest. Priest, Anthrax Hit The Road


Judas Priest will tour in support of Demolition, their first release since 1997’s Jugulator and second album to showcase the vocals of Tim “Ripper” Owens, which hits stores tomorrow. Owens – who replaced Rob Halford after he quit in 1993 – had previously fronted a Judas Priest cover band, and his story is the basis of the upcoming Mark Wahlberg/Jennifer Aniston movie, Rock Star. For metal and heavy rock fans of the Midwest, today is a big announcement day. Sonic Temple Festival 2024 officially shared their lineup for their upcoming event.
