Everclear Singer Wants End to Moshing

Everclear singer Art Alexakis is ready to see an end to the phenomenon of moshing and crowd-surfing. Alexakis says it always seems that it’s guys kicking girls in the head. “It’s just like, just watch the show,” Alexakis told AP Radio. He says he’s “a little reminiscent for the summer of ’94 just like anyone else” but he’s sick of people getting hurt. The singer says although people still mosh at their shows, they tend to jump more than mosh. Fans close to the front might get an extra treat. Hey, Footballhead! The Chicago alt-rock band, which includes The Academy Is…’s Adam Siska and suburban indie rockstar, Snow Ellet dropped their single “Like A Blister.” The track comes from their upcoming debut album, Overthinking Everything, which arrives on March 1 via Tiny Engines. Vocalist Ryan Nolen started the project in 2022, and the latest song encapsulates a montage of melancholia. This is the third single off of their upcoming LP, and relishes the dreariness of a winter in a prominent early 2000s young adult, indie flick.
