Spiritbox are back to their unrelentingly heavy best with their stunning new track “Cellar Door”, taken from their upcoming new EP.
Following their GRAMMY nomination for Best Metal Performance for “Cellar Door,” Spiritbox has announced their sophomore album, Tsunami Sea. The 11-track collection is slated to arrive on March 7, 2025, via Pale Chord in partnership with Rise Records. You can preorder and pre-save the record here. The Recording Academy just announced a long list of nominations for the forthcoming 2025 Grammy Awards. Excitingly, many rising pop artists lead the pack with Album Of The Year and Best New Artist nominations—we see you Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter. This past weekend, Louder Than Life delivered plenty of surprises for fans, both exciting and unfortunate. The three-day event ended on an incredibly high note when Spiritbox teamed up with Poppy for a special live performance of the Canadian metal group’s latest single, “Soft Spine,” during the festival’s final day. Following their extensive tour with Shinedown and Papa Roach throughout October, Spiritbox is beginning the month of November with the release of their new EP The Fear of Fear and a video, too. The group just dropped “Ultraviolet,” a modern heavy rock hit, with a reflective–literally–new music video. The video sees lead vocalist Courtney LaPlante in a mirrored bodysuit and glitter-strewn hair walking through a dark warehouse, but still shimmering when hitting small rays of light. Vampire Weekend are offering up “Horchata,” the opening song off their January 12th album Contra, as a free download over at their official Website today. The North American touring business is breathing a sigh of relief as the curtain drops on what many call the industry’s worst year in a decade. The final Billboard Boxscore tally shows the industry finishing with a microscopic increase in gross ticket sales of 0.2% in 2004.
