I’ve been friends with their guitar player for about 15 years now, he’s been in bands, was even a record executive at Warner Brothers for a while and now recorded new music with Ross Robinson (Slipknot, Glassjaw, Korn, From First To Last etc) their band sounds nothing like those bands, and they have a refreshing sound, take a listen!!

Following their stint alongside The Amity Affliction this May, Omerta will head out on the road with nu-gaze unit Moodring and death metal act Gates To Hell. Omerta’s summer tour will kick off on June 9 in Chicago, IL, and run through June 24 where the group will wrap up in their hometown, Houston, TX. Get Involved! are a veritable post hardcore supergroup, with members having spent time in some of the genre’s most legendary bands — bands like Glassjaw, Thursday, and From Autumn To Ashes. But one act you might not expect to find on their shared resume is British boy band The Wanted.
The more time Wes Borland spent in Limp Bizkit, the more things around him turned black. First his wardrobe – draping cloaks that brought to mind one of his favorite characters, Darth Vader. Then his eyes – gripping contacts that, next to his flaring nostrils, made him look like a guitar-toting monster. Early ’90s superstar Vanilla Ice is back with a new album, Bi-Polar, which came out last week. Ice produced the set, which features guest appearances from Chuck D, La Tha Darkman, Insane Clown Posse, and Josh Brainard, formerly of Slipknot. Bi-Polar features eight hardcore tracks and 17 hip-hop tracks. Radio Free Virgin, a leading digital broadcast company, today launched the Shortlist Channel in cooperation with the Shortlist project, a new award which highlights innovative and adventurous artists rather than established hitmakers. Ten Shortlist finalists including Ryan Adams, Nikka Costa, PJ Harvey and Gorillaz were announced on October 3rd at the Museum of Television & Radio in Beverly Hills, and the winner of the Virgin Megastore Shortlist Prize for Artistic Achievement in Music will be announced in mid-November at an all-star concert and party in Hollywood, CA. July 24 will be ground zero for Slipknot’s as-yet-untitled second album, according to a Roadrunner Records spokesperson. The follow-up to their eponymous 1999 debut was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Ross Robinson. Next week production will move cross-country to New York, where Andy Wallace will start mixing new songs “People Equal Shit,” “The Heretic Anthem,” “Disaster Piece” and just-announced “New Abortion” among other album tracks, with the help of two unnamed band members.
