Nicks, Crow, Rimes Sign On For Blockbuster Awards


Stevie Nicks with Sheryl Crow, Joe with Mystikal, LeAnn Rimes, and Ricky Martin are confirmed to perform at this year’s Blockbuster Entertainment Awards, to be taped Tuesday (April 10) at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and airing on Fox the next evening. There are 24 music categories in this year’s awards, all of which were voted on by fans. Jonas Brothers to Play Cowboys' Thanksgiving Game


The Jonas Brothers will perform during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys’ nationally televised Thanksgiving Day game against the Seattle Seahawks. The band will officially kick off the 2008 Salvation Army Red Kettle Christmas campaign at the November 27 contest. The fundraising drive continues through Christmas Eve. Since its partnership with the Cowboys, which began in 1997, the annual Red Kettle campaign has raised more than $1 billion, helping the Salvation Army serve 30 million people each year nationwide. Ben & Jerry's Woodstock Concert Canceled


Ben & Jerry’s “One World One Heart Festival” scheduled this weekend at the original 1969 Woodstock concert site has been canceled. Tracy Chapman and LeAnn Rimes had been scheduled to headline the festival, slated for Saturday and Sunday at the former farm, now the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, 80 miles northwest of New York City. “An economic downturn coupled with an unexpected slump in the music industry” forced cancellation of this year’s event, the company’s Web site said.
