Good Terms have released their new song, “Progress,” preceded by their 2025 cover of “Call Me” by Blondie and 2024 LP Burnout. Uniquely, the song is partly inspired by frontman Brian McShea and his fiancée Stephanie Raynor, who, unfortunately, lost their home in the devastating California wildfires earlier this year—but they did find their engagement ring! A recent press release notes that “the outpouring of love and support reminded the couple and their extended Good Terms family of the importance of community.” Of “Progress,” the band shared on social media, “Sometimes I feel so close to the edge of failure… Read more »

Ahead of their spring tour opening for Youth Fountain, Good Terms has unleashed a cover of Blondie’s “Call Me” as part of the Musora’s On The Spot Series. Vocalist/guitarist Brian McShea shares, “My favorite part of how this cover turned out was the process! It was so different for us; usually, songs take over a year to be completed, and we almost never arrange things all together in a room with our instruments. It was a great feeling to start with an already-written song and just work out what we thought would be fun to play (and easy enough to… Read more »

Summer may be coming to a close, but Good Terms is just getting it started. Following their April release of “Hear Me Out,” the band shared their latest “stoner emo” track, “Blurry.” Opening with energetic guitar progressions, the track is a dynamic journey of fast-moving tempos and instrumentation with introspective segments. Vocals range from melodic to hardcore, changing with the intensity of the lyrics. The drums also provide a solid backbone, moving the track through the slower pre-chorus breaks. Behind their staple punk riffs and heavy breakdown is an emotionally charged reflection of oneself. The band takes on past mistakes… Read more »
