Following their remaining 2024 tour dates and an Australian run at the start of the new year, Goo Goo Dolls will hit the road across North America with support from Dashboard Confessional. “We are truly excited to bring our Summer Anthem Tour 2025 to all our friends,” John Rzeznik shares. “…Every tour we do is about making new friends and reuniting with everyone who’s been with us since day one. Thank you! In addition, we’ll be joined by Dashboard Confessional. One of the last great American rock bands. It’s gonna be a summer of loud music and good friends and… Read more »

Warped Tour just wrapped its weekend in Orlando, and it was a festival to behold, especially if you caught mgk‘s headlining set on Saturday, November 15. The artist, who is ready to kick off his world tour tomorrow, brought out several special guests during his 19-track set. Excitingly, he live-debuted his cover of Goo Goo Dolls‘ “Iris” with Julia Wolf, who also appeared at Warped Tour and is set to support him on select dates on his tour. And, of course, it wouldn’t be an mgk show without help from his best friend Mod Sun. The two, along with We… Read more »
Maggie Lindemann and Julia Wolf came together to maximize their joint slay with their collab “2022” and an accompanying visualizer. The two artists blended their voices to craft a heartbreaking, yet ethereal piece—an instantly iconic alternative collaboration. mgk officially launched his seventh studio album, lost americana, on August 8, and with it, many events and pop-up shows. Following his intimate performances in New York City and Toronto, mgk, aka Colson Baker, headed back to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, to celebrate his annual MGK Day. During the weekend’s festivities, the artist played a wild 25-song set on August 10, and it went well… almost too well. As a massive crowd in downtown Cleveland jumped in unison to 2012 hit “Wild Boy,” he stopped the music and said, “Nothing is better than them in my headphones going ‘I… Read more »
Warped Tour kicked off their massive 30 year anniversary return run this weekend in Washington, DC, bringing the iconic punk and alt-rock festival back in full force. With a large lineup that spanned across Saturday and Sunday at RFK Stadium, headlining sets included MGK and Avril Lavigne. MGK made his headlining set one to remember. Ahead of his performance, he posted a video reflecting on how surreal it felt to return to Warped Tour as a headlining act. That sentiment carried through to his performance, where he brought longtime collaborator and friend MOD SUN onstage for a surprise rendition of… Read more »
The first Pride was a riot—the Stonewall riots, to be exact. And it feels like the spirit of those early movements needs to return. As the United States legislates against transgender individuals, incites attacks on LGBTQIA+ rights, and defunds valuable health programs such as HIV research, it might feel like there’s a looming dark cloud over the month. However, celebrating who you are and who you love is an act of resistance! Not only does the whole team at idobi Radio celebrate Pride, these alternative musicians and brands are also celebrating the LGBTQ+ people in their lives this June and… Read more »
Let’s level with each other—the music in a movie can make or break the whole entire viewing experience. I mean, what would Star Wars and Jurassic Park be without John Williams’ beloved orchestral arrangements? Or, what would a viewing of Titanic be without the tear-inducing “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion? Of course, some movies are made better by rock and metal music. (Just look at any soundtrack from the Saw franchise.) These emo bands utterly transformed movies in the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s by being on the soundtrack.
