Perhaps one of the most underrated bands of the last decade, Fireworks hit their stride in the early 2010’s with two iconic albums, Gospel in 2011 and Oh, Common Life in 2014. Fireworks have announced an indefinite hiatus, beginning immediately after their headlining summer tour.
Fireworks have announced a two-part summer tour with Turnover, Sorority Noise, Dry Jacket, and Weatherbox. The tour kicks off May 27th and runs through late August.
This morning, Skate and Surf Fest announced that Thrice, Hot Rod Circuit, Fireworks, Cloud Nothings, Defeater, and more have been announced for the two day festival in New Jersey on May 16th and 17th. This announcement only makes the festival more appealing by adding onto the already awesome lineup including Acceptance, The Gaslight Anthem, and The Wonder Years. Fireworks have released a three song EP, the Oh, Common Life Sessions. All proceeds benefit the Detroit organization Alternatives For Girls, which helps homeless and high risk girls make positive choices.
