The 2024 edition of When We Were Young Festival just wrapped up a few weeks ago, but they are back with the announcement of possibly their best lineup to date. Today marked a major milestone for blink-182. The trio’s world-famous “All The Small Things” just crossed the mark for one billion streams on Spotify. As of publication, this is their only song to reach this many streams. Additionally, “I Miss You” from 2003’s self-titled record is a close second, with just under 729 million streams. Last week, Cameron Hurley—who found fame with We Are The In Crowd in 2009 and became a staple on Warped Tour—released the first three installments to his complete cover album of blink-182’s 1997 album Dude Ranch. Under the recording name new.wav, Hurley first issued “Pathetic,” “Voyour,” and “Dammit” covers, which exude the same high energy performance level as blink-182’s 2000 live album, The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show. With the Vans Warped Tour 25th anniversary shows and genre sensation blink–182 touring the 20th anniversary of their “Enema of the state” album a massive pop-punk revival is underway. Blink–182’s new album “NINE” will be out September 20 and after the outstanding reception of “blame it on my youth” one can only imagine the trajectory from there will skyrocket.
