Following their release of “Cool Being You,” New York City punk trio Oxymorrons are back with their new track, “BLK SHEEP.” Plus, the two singles will appear on their newly announced independent EP Create. Destroy. Rebuild. Repeat., which will arrive in fall 2025. The track is absolutely scathing with high-energy riffs and vital messages critiquing the societal norms that have kept us in a chokehold for far too long.
Oxymorrons share, “‘BLK SHEEP’ is a raw, unapologetic mirror held up to every corner of society! From corrupt lawmakers who bend rules for profit, to marginalized communities that sometimes embrace the very stereotypes used to oppress them.”

They add, “It calls out the contradictions, the performative outrage, the selective morality. And at the heart of it all is the bitter truth: if this is what you glorify, if this is what you reward… then fuck it, why not? We’ll wear the label, live the chaos, and expose the system for what it really is. In hopes that this mirror will inspire/provoke that kind of self-reflection that produces true change.”
Of their new independent status, Oxymorrons note, “We’ve always stayed true to ourselves, but this chapter is about going even harder in that direction. We’re excited to build something that’s fully ours — no limits, no filters, just us.”
