First Listen: San Francisco’s Down and Outlaws Drop New Video, “Imposter”

Down and Outlaws are anything but down and out. The San Francisco quartet has been making their name with appearances on late night TV (Last Call with Carson Daly), video game soundtracks (Watch Dogs 2), and storied local fests (Outside Lands Festival).

The band is writing the next chapter in their book of rock and roll with “Imposter”, and we have the exclusive first look at the video. Check it out, then find what Down and Outlaws had to say about their new release below.

“Our song ‘Imposter’ explores the idea of trying to be someone you’re not. We wanted the video to reference this and give the viewer a sense of the building anxiety that comes with this feeling and working through it. The concept was to depict this by only giving glimpses of faces. You can never fully grasp the complete picture. Towards the second half of the video, projections of other people and events are shot onto the band showing the confusion and disarray of trying to be someone else.”
