“‘Fire and Flood’ is the perfect single to introduce Ligature Marks to the world. It’s got melody, driving riffs, breakdowns, crushing drums and smart lyrics. Plus it’s catchy. Who in the world would start a song with the opening line ‘SET OCEANS ON FIRE’?
The inspiration behind the video came from the title and what inspired it: Climate change and the fact we’re all gonna get flooded or burned in the future. As someone with red hair increased heat/sun is particularly scary to me.
For the video Ben and I talked about having no compromises, no fear. That translated to shots across Oregon including filming underwater, in the snow, at the beach, and in the water. The list goes on. I’m proud of this video and what it represents.”
