“From A Lover To A Friend,” the first single from Paul McCartney’s upcoming studio album, “Driving Rain,” will be serviced to radio stations across the country for airplay beginning the week of Oct. 1.

McCartney is also confirmed to perform at New York City’s Madison Square Garden as a guest on “The Concert for New York,” a one-night only music event to benefit the victims of the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks on New York City. The concert also will pay tribute to the rescue workers who worked tirelessly to save the lives of others. The four-hour telecast will air live on VH1 and simulcast on radio stations across the country commercial free on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Following up on the historic, record-breaking success of the “Beatles 1” CD and the phenomenal chart breakthrough in May of “Wingspan,” the Double-CD collection from Paul McCartney and Wings, will be the upcoming home video release of the expanded “Wingspan” feature-length special, scheduled for release on DVD and VHS on Nov. 13.
