In support of the President’s wishes that the country return to its normal routine following yesterday’s tragedies, the Lynyrd Skynyrd and Backstreet Boys performances tonight in Raleigh, North Carolina and Toronto, Ontario, respectively, will be held as originally scheduled.

The bands also announced that in honor of the victims and families affected by the tragedies, each group will donate at least $10,000 of tonight’s ticket sales to help kick-off the Relief Fund, a newly established fund created by Clear Channel Worldwide.

Clear Channel Entertainment, a subsidiary of Clear Channel Worldwide, is the promoter of tonight’s concert.

The Relief Fund officially launches tomorrow and will be accessible to anyone wishing to make any size donation by visiting or by mailing a donation to the Relief Fund, PO Box 659512, San Antonio TX 78265. The fund will benefit the American Red Cross, and appropriate New York and Washington, DC Police and Fire Department funds.

In light of yesterday’s tragedies, Clear Channel is hoping to use music to begin the healing process and will look to its other performances over the next several weeks to add to this relief fund.
