Following the release of Mayday Parade‘s new album Sad, frontman Derek Sanders had a very happy day. The lead singer officially tied the knot with wife, Dr. Hallie Wright Sanders, PhD, on October 4 in the band’s hometown of Tallahassee, Florida. The couple, who went public with their relationship in 2022 got engaged in December 2023, officially sharing the news in January. At long last, Ontario-based twin duo Softcult has officially revealed the details for their debut full-length record, When A Flower Doesn’t Grow. Inspired by Alexander Den Heijer’s quote—”When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower”— the LP is set for release on January 30, 2026, via Easy Life Records.
