One listen to Driver Friendly’s latest EP, Peaks + Valleys, and you’ll know why the band is gaining momentum like they are. The six songs on the EP are short and sweet, but are chock full of energy, passion, and a whole lot of fun.
At a time when many bands would rather stick to trends than take a risk, Peace’d Out shine as something fresh that hopefully won’t be another one-and-done side project. The members take elements from each of their respective bands and put a collective spin on things, creating a sound all their own.
Texas In July have taken the best parts of One Reality and stepped their game up. With a song for every shade of hardcore, Texas In July show that they can adapt their music from one album to the next and still crush it.
With their self-titled EP, Sparks The Rescue have taken everything that was great about their last album – the catchy lyrics, the progressiveness of their sound, that “get up and dance†attitude – and fused it with their old school style to create an unforgettable seven-track compilation sure to get you off your feet with their first independent release since parting ways with Fearless Records.
Emmure have a certain sound that they’ve developed over the years, and their latest album Slave to the Game fits perfectly into the mold they have created for themselves. Thick with video game references and infused with the members’ own personalities, the album is everything an Emmure fan would expect it to be.
Who’s ready for a little shazam in their life? Mix in a little 1980’s head banging and theatrical vocals and you get the one and only Foxy Shazam and their new album The Church of Rock and Roll.
Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen’s Curiosity already has fans crushing and the EP hasn’t even dropped in the US yet. Once it does, expect middle school girls (and boys) wearing Carly Rae Jepsen t-shirts, backpacks, everything – this girl is the next big pop crush.
