Paul McCartney, who last week was reported to be looking to stage his own benefit in New York City, has agreed to play “The Concert for New York” to raise awareness of the fundraising efforts on a broader scale. Paul McCartney, The Who, Macy Gray and a host of other performers are scheduled to stage a concert on Oct. 20 in New York to benefit victims and rescue workers from the attacks on the World Trade Center, organizers said Thursday. “The Concert For New York,” to be held at Madison Square Garden, will also be televised live on VH1. Britney Spears will release her 3rd album, Britney on November 6 worldwide. The first single, “I’m A Slave 4 U,” will impact CHR and Rhythm Crossover radio on September 24. The song was written and produced by The Neptunes. The video, directed by Frances Lawrence, will debut on MTV’s Making The Video on September 24.
