The Tiger Woods Foundation announced today that Grammy-award winning artists Don Henley and Train will perform at the Tiger Jam V benefit concert presented by Coca-Cola and hosted by Tiger Woods. The fifth annual event will take place on April 20, 2002, at 8:30 PM in the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nev. ‘N Sync will tour North American arenas in the coming months in support of its 2001 Jive album, “Celebrity.” A full itinerary has not yet been unveiled, but dates are so far confirmed for five shows, beginning March 3 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore. The group’s stadium run last year grossed more than $90 million, according to Billboard sister publication Amusement Business. Foo Fighters will be taking a break from the recording of their upcoming fourth album to play a special one-off benefit for MAP (Musicians’ Assistance Program). MAP is a nonprofit organization founded in 1992 by Buddy Arnold and his wife Carole Fields to provide treatment for musicians addicted to drugs and alcohol. Four years after the divorce, Vivendi Universal and USA Networks are poised to tie the knot again in a $12.4 billion deal, expected to be announced today in New York. The second annual Center of the Universe on Hollywood Boulevard will feature three stages showcasing those DJs and others, including Sander Kleinenberg, DJ Sneak and Marques Wyatt. ‘N Sync will perform a largely free concert Nov. 11 on Miami’s South Beach to benefit the families of the New York police officers and firemen killed in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the city. Corporate sponsors and the city of Miami Beach have covered most of the costs of the concert, and will donate proceeds from VIP ticket sales, merchandise, and concessions to the aforementioned cause.
