Secretary of State Colin Powell may be in Central Asia trying to resolve globally significant issues, but he hasn’t forgotten about the kids at home. Add Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger to the list of rock stars who have been Simpsons-ized. As part of the campaign to promote his latest solo album, Goddess In The Doorway, Jagger has provided his voice for a future episode of the popular animated Fox television show The Simpsons. Jagger reportedly recorded his parts last week, but the show’s producers are keeping details of his involvement under wraps for the time being. Korn’s Jonathan Davis has co-written the score for the film adaptation of Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned, due out February 22nd. Collaborating with Oingo Boingo keyboardist Richard Gibbs, Davis composed the score for a ninety-two-piece orchestra and penned five songs for the soundtrack. Among them is one particularly poignant track: a tune with lyrics by Rashad Haughton, brother of the late singer-actress Aaliyah, who portrays the film’s title character. While on the road last year filming his latest independent movie, director Ludi Boeken and his relatively unknown cast decided to stop at Hooters for lunch.
