Green Day Rears 'American Idiot'


Green Day’s first studio album in four years will be titled “American Idiot,” a spokesperson told Billboard.com. The set is tentatively due Sept. 14 via Reprise. It’s the follow-up to 2000’s “Warning,” which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and has sold 998,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Along with No Doubt, Foo Fighters, Bad Religion and others, Green Day is expected to lend a track to “Rock Against Bush Vol. 2,” the second in a series of politically minded compilations due this August. Hoobastank, Jet, Smile Empty Soul, the Lostprophets, and others are tentatively set for inclusion on the soundtrack of Spider-Man 2, according to MTV.com. The Dirrty girl’s summer tour is a wash. Christina Aguilera has canceled all upcoming performances on the advice of her doctor, due to a set of stripped pipes sustained in the studio. For the second year in a row, The Vans Warped Tour has been sucked out of Boreal Mountain Resort down the mountain to the Sleep Train Amphitheatre near Sacramento. Ozzy Osbourne Confirms Black Sabbath Reunion In Works


Ozzy Osbourne confirmed in a radio interview on Wednesday (March 31) that negotiations are underway for Black Sabbath to perform on this summer’s Ozzfest, according to Blabbermouth.net.
