Darkest Hour To Begin Recording


Washington D.C.-based metallers DARKEST HOUR will travel to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on February 19 to start the pre-production and recording process for their new album with producer Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, LAMB OF GOD, SOILWORK). Russell Simmons’ drive to make people from different backgrounds more racially aware is picking up steam – with Brooklyn act the Beastie Boys next on his list of star speakers. Injury Forces Barker off +44 tour


Drummer Travis Barker is leaving a European tour with his new band +44 because of an unhealed fractured arm. The former Blink-182 drummer had been on tour despite a fractured right arm he suffered Sept. 9 while filming a video, according to Interscope Records. Barker, 31, will return to Los Angeles to be treated. The band, fronted by former Blink-182 singer and bassist Mark Hoppus, has not announced a replacement drummer. Australian concert flag ban sparks anger


Fears of race clashes on Monday led organizers of Australia’s biggest outdoor rock concert to bar fans from carrying the national flag, sparking a furious reaction from the country’s prime minister and war veterans.
